Alta Airport was opened on 4 May 1963, together with Kirkenes Airport, Høybuktmoen and Lakselv Airport Banak.
Alta is Finnmark’s largest city and is nicknamed the “City of the Northern Lights”

From Alta, we mostly cover the north-eastern part of Norway (together with Tana). From Kautokeino and Karasjok in the south to Øksfjord and Sørøya in the west, Magerøya in the north, and Kirkenes in the east.
